Standards

Designed specially to provide thermal insulation to sub-sea pipelines and for specialist industrial pipework, the ISOVER SeaLine range includes two types of pre-formed pipe sections:
 Manufactured under Quality Management Standard EN ISO 9001:2000, ISOVER SeaLine sections can be used in accordance with the performance requirements and application standards of:
  • Pre-formed "segmented" pipe sections
  • Pre-formed pipe sections.
  • BS 5422:2001 "Method of specifying thermal insulating materials on pipes, ductwork and equipment". (in the range -40 to +700°C).
  • BS 5970:2001 "Codes of Practice for the thermal insulation of pipework and equipment" (in the range -100 to +870°C)

Various facings are available to meet emissivity requirements. ISOVER Sea-line Plain sections are supplied without an outer covering. ISOVER SeaLine Foil sections have a factory applied reinforced aluminium foil covering incorporating a self-adhesive overlap at each segment.

  • Chemically inert, approximate pH value of 7 - no need to bore-coat
The base mineral wool of ISOVER SeaLine Sections is totally non-combustible, achieving Euroclass A2 fire rating. The factory-applied aluminium foil facing also meets the highest standards required by:
  • BS 476: Part 6 "Fire propagation"
  • BS 476: Part 7 "Surface spread of flame".
The foil facing is therefore rated "Class O in accordance with UK Building Regulations.

Durability

Service temperature

  • Odourless, inert and fully compatible with all standard pipework services and components.
  • Will not accelerate corrosion with steel, copper or aluminium.
ISOVERSeaLine Sections can be used on pipelines with continuous service temperatures of 230 °C.
